Governing Body

The governance of Life Nav is entrusted to a Board of Directors and an Advisory Board.
  • The Board of Directors will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of Life Nav, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The Board of Directors will be made up of between two and four Directors, who will be appointed based on their skills, experience, and commitment to the social mission of Life Nav.
  • The Advisory Board is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of Life Nav. There will be between six and twelve members of The Advisory Board and will be appointed based on their skills and experience, as well as their alignment to the mission of the social enterprise. The members will act to maintain the integrity of the social enterprise and advise on key decisions and commitments.

Bart is a qualified social worker committed to helping young people and the inspirational founder of Life Nav.
Professor Amanda Third
Co-Director YRRC
Amanda is the Co-Director of the Young and Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University who has played a pivotal role in informing the direction of the Life Nav App.
Ed Phillips
Special Projects Manager Phillips Coaching
Ed has experienced the professional sport pathway first-hand as an AFL footballer and is also actively involved in youth charity through The Phillips Foundation
Jordan Brushfield
Manager of Business Services Deakin Residential Services
Jordon has experience in managing the care and wellbeing of children and young people in Australia and the USA. She currently works for Deakin residential Services which houses over 2,700 students.
Steve Ho
Technical Director Insiightful
Steve is the Technical Director at Insiightful and the lead developer of the Life Nav App
Karina Ojeda Rodriguez
Social Entrepreneur Mosaik Experiences
Karina has been involved in social enterprises for over 10 years. This includes being a co-founder of the social enterprise, Mosiak Experiences. She has also experienced being an international student firsthand.
