Personal Navigator
" From 2020 to 2022, 43% of the population had experienced a mental disorder at some time in their life"
We understand that it does not take much for an individual to feel lost and disorientated. An untimely injury or missed team selection may appear to shatter a sporting dream. Similarly, the loneliness of a student living away from family may make the everyday seem insurmountable or unattainable. Our Personal Navigators are qualified counsellors ready, willing and able to help. Whether it is rerouting around closed roads to find the road less traveled, or reorientating towards a new destination. We will help you trust the people around you and get you back on track.
How Personal Navigators Work
The Life Nav Personal Navigators are an add-on service to those who are taking part in a Life Nav Program.
Our Navigators can assist with more personal issues that become apparent through the program. Whether working with whole groups or focusing on particular issues with the individuals in the program (Participants) and their Trusted Others. The aim of the Personal Navigators is to assist with practical solutions and help Participants and Trusted Others understand each other better.
Some of the services include:
Providing Organisers with additional support to aid with issues that may be occurring during the program.
Providing facilitation to Participant groups to address common issues that may be occurring during the program.
Engaging with Participants and their Trusted Others experiencing particular issues, with the aim of aligning understandings and differences, and finding best support for the Participants.
Assisting with navigating resources and referrals to assist Participants receiving needed additional support.
Workshopping with Organisers, Participants and Trusted Others to better improve the support provided to Participants during challenging times.
